Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. How does Guys & Dolls differ from other casting agencies?
Guys & Dolls prides itself in the way it looks after its Artistes, including a reputation for being one of the fastest payers in the business. Besides prompt payment, we keep you informed of news and opportunities on the horizon through a regular newsletter; and we deploy latest technology including text messaging to make sure you hear about a casting as soon as it’s available.
2. How do I register to become an Artiste with Guys & Dolls?
We are looking for a very high calibre of candidates to join our books and only those who can meet our exacting standards of professionalism and timekeeping will be considered (see ‘Become an Artiste’ guide for more) If you feel you fit the bill, please email/post your CV and photographs to:

3. How often can I check in to see if there’s any work?
Once on our books, we never forget you! The team at Guys & Dolls is working its hardest to get you as many calls as possible. If you haven’t heard from us for a while, we invite you to call us, but we request that you do so only once a month and between 12 and 4 in the afternoon. The reason we ask this is so we can use the rest of our time to focus on securing new jobs and finding you employment.
4. How do Guys & Dolls contact me?
Most Artistes have a mobile phone and you are recommended to have one as this is the main way in which we keep in touch with you and also makes you more likely to get work. Make sure that you have the voicemail facility working on your mobile and ensure that you reply to any messages that we leave by 6pm on the next day of business. Additionally we now have the facility to text Artistes individually or in groups.
5. What if I’m going to be late for a call?
The real answer is ‘don’t be late’! As you may have guessed from reading other parts of this website, punctuality is an essential requirement of any Guys & Dolls Artiste. If you are made unavoidably late however (even if its only 5 minutes), you should contact the Guys & Dolls company phone number so that we can apologise to the Assistant Director on your behalf and inform them of your expected arrival time and/or make necessary alternative arrangements.
6. What’s the process for getting paid?
At Guys & Dolls we continue to pay Artistes as quickly as is humanly possible; and there are ways in which you can help us keep that payment process fast and efficient. Please speak further to Martin about these ways of faster payment.
